Social issues
The County Board is responsible for including women's issues and has a supervisory role with regard to compliance with the Alcohol Act and the Tobacco Act.Supervision of social services were transferred from the county administrative boards to the National Board of Health and Welfare on 1 January 2010.

These issues are handled by the County Administrative Board
- Alcohol and tobacco enforcement
- Preventive measures against alcohol and tobacco and drugs, for example by the County Coordinator
- Coordination of women's issues
- Distribution of government grants to women's issues, alcohol and drug prevention work and the personal representative
- Licensing of marriage before the age of 18.
These issues are handled by the National Board of Health and Welfare
- Supervision of elderly, disabled, individual and family care according to SoL and LSS, enforcement of judgments and decisions, the application for sanctio
- Permits pursuant to SoL and LSS

The County Administrative Board makes Government grants
The County Administrative Board benefits Government grants to:
- prevention of alcohol and drug field
- early intervention against violence vulnerable families
- projects aimed at the bodies of the youth and substance abuse treatmen
- relatives
- projects to prevent honor-related violence
- shelter activities
- the personal representatives of persons with mental disabilities
